About Our Team

Elaine Mahnensmith, Owner of Uptown Transit & Events, is one of Central Florida's most professionally accomplished and creative event planners. She combines her 19 years of corporate hospitality experience, with her attention to detail and classic modern style, to transform her clients' visions into one of a kind masterpieces.

Elaine began planning events in 2003 at the University of Florida as the Event Manager for the Reitz Union, is a third generation event planner and was privileged to mentor under the watchful eye of her grandmother, who was a respected caterer and event planner for Washington D.C. socialites. Growing up in the industry, Elaine knew at a young age that she too had a passion for events, a passion which she brings to every celebration she helps curate.

In March of 2020, after departing from Marriott International, Elaine launched the events division of Uptown Transit & Events, with a goal of elevating event experiences in Central Florida, while creating lasting memories for her clients.

Ruby Select Service Wedding Coordination

Do you want to plan your own wedding but want an experienced professional in your corner during the planning process? We are here to help! With the Ruby Coordination Package, you’ll get four personal consultations during the planning phase, access to our preferred vendor list, personal referrals to trusted vendors, assistance with booking agreements, and a final consultation to review vendor contracts and your upcoming timeline for the day of the wedding.
